5.0a week agoFirstly a huge thanks to Nathan who got us a window seat and made us feel very special indeed. One of the best waiters we have ever met. Secondly, massive praise for the floor manager who got us into the skybar in spite of security's best efforts to stop us. And further praise to be heaped upon the new girl, Amelia?? at the bar. Really pleasant and genuinely happy to serve us and chat. All in all one of the best experiences we have ever had, and trust me, we are much travelled. The food was excellent but my only disappointment were the scallops. Just two for £17 and they were still attached to the muscle which is a huge crime as far as I am concerned. That needs sorting. Nevertheless, a huge thumbs up to Malmaison. We most definitely will return.

5.0a week agoThe room at the Malmaison was the nicest, biggest and most luxurious hotel room I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was delicious and there was a fantastic choice. The staff were brilliant and very friendly. My stay was for a business trip and I only stayed the single night, but I have every intention of returning for a longer non-work stay.

5.0a week agoAmazing stay, we arrived on Friday for my husbands birthday celebration, check in was busy but quick and efficient, we had a lovely suite room 111, the suite was spacious warm, welcoming and had everything you could need, nice little touches coffee machine with a cheeky Ferrero Rocher, a shout out to housekeeping immaculate room, We had pre booked dinner for 8pm in the Chez Mal it was a very busy Friday evening (York restaurant week) we arrived early to have a pre dinner drinks, James in the bar made us amazing cocktails and made us feel at ease a credit to the hotel, he let the restaurant know we had arrived so we didn’t feel hurried, Alice the restaurant manager (not sure if that’s her role but should be) was so professional and showed us to our table, order placed and then we meet the lovely Fran , she was so friendly and professional nothing was too much trouble, the food was outstanding as was the service definitely worth pre booking. When we checked out on the Sunday what a welcome and happy reception, James (not from the bar) and Paige with smiles and kindness checked us out, what a lovely way to end our stay they made us feel very special. Because of all of the above we can’t wait to return. Thank you to all the team for making a birthday very special. Hospitality isn’t always easy but this hotel has got it right 5⭐️ from
