Decided to go TGI’s Watford after a very long time, viewed the menu before entering. Greeted at the entrance, restaurant was relatively empty but was told there’s 5-10min wait for a table given menus and asked to wait at the bar left waiting for 15mins considered going to an alternative restaurant and by the end honestly regret staying. Once sat at the table no came over to take the order, had to ask staff member to which she called someone else. Waiter came after 5mins ordered 2 steak meals and a beef dip sandwich, the food took 40mins to arrive, by this point we’ve been in the restaurant an hour at least. The food didn’t match description on menu corn arrived as boiled corn on the cob rather than maple corn ribs no explanation from waiter either and not seasoned, the steaks weren’t seasoned even with salt & pepper and the ciabatta bread on the dip sandwich came cremated and dried out no cheese sauce and could see part of the bread had been scraped off this is by far worst food I’ve ever received, if I were the waiter I’d be embarrassed to hand it over to a customer, then we were give a ketchup bottle in the worst condition, but was much need with all the bland flavours. I decided to attempt to eat burnt sandwich as didn’t want to wait another 40mins, but could only taste the burnt bread dipping it in extra gravy and ketchup sauce didn’t work and seeing the underside of the bread was burnt even worse as if it was set on fire I sent the order back and requested it removed from the bill. At this point I would have thought the manager would have at least come over to apologise but unfortunately not leaving me wondering is this normal service?. This experience has closed the door on all TGI’s in the future and will definitely not be returning.

We visited the restaurant with a group of 7 girls to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Priya K, was absolutely brilliant—she was attentive, patient, and incredibly helpful in making sure everything went smoothly for the celebration. She even went the extra mile to assist with the cake and made the girls feel special throughout. Thanks to her, the afternoon was stress-free and truly memorable. We couldn’t have asked for better service!

I was so sad to hear that TGI was going into administration back in 2024. Luckily, this restaurant is still open as TGI is one of my favorite places to go to eat out with friends and family. I loooove the food here! Very tasty! We used to go to the one in Garston (859 St Albans Rd, Watford WD25 0LH) before that one was permanently closed due to the administration and the staff were so lovely there. The service in this restaurant can be slow but still really good! I guess it depends on the time of day as I normally go in the evening to have dinner and it seems a bit more busier at that time. For your birthday, they do their birthday song and try and get everyone in the restaurant to clap along. I think it's a really sweet touch! Parking isn't too much of an issue as there are many car park buildings you can park at and is only a short walk away. I normally use Citipark as it's just a minute walk for a reasonable fee.
