2.03 weeks agoDecided to go TGI’s Watford after a very long time, viewed the menu before entering. Greeted at the entrance, restaurant was relatively empty but was told there’s 5-10min wait for a table given menus and asked to wait at the bar left waiting for 15mins considered going to an alternative restaurant and by the end honestly regret staying. Once sat at the table no came over to take the order, had to ask staff member to which she called someone else. Waiter came after 5mins ordered 2 steak meals and a beef dip sandwich, the food took 40mins to arrive, by this point we’ve been in the restaurant an hour at least. The food didn’t match description on menu corn arrived as boiled corn on the cob rather than maple corn ribs no explanation from waiter either and not seasoned, the steaks weren’t seasoned even with salt & pepper and the ciabatta bread on the dip sandwich came cremated and dried out no cheese sauce and could see part of the bread had been scraped off this is by far worst food I’ve ever received, if I were the waiter I’d be embarrassed to hand it over to a customer, then we were give a ketchup bottle in the worst condition, but was much need with all the bland flavours. I decided to attempt to eat burnt sandwich as didn’t want to wait another 40mins, but could only taste the burnt bread dipping it in extra gravy and ketchup sauce didn’t work and seeing the underside of the bread was burnt even worse as if it was set on fire I sent the order back and requested it removed from the bill. At this point I would have thought the manager would have at least come over to apologise but unfortunately not leaving me wondering is this normal service?. This experience has closed the door on all TGI’s in the future and will definitely not be returning.

2.02 weeks agoDenise is rude shouts and talks down to people for shaking their head at their poor service boiled corn instead of the maple that’s described. Steak wasn’t topped with the TGI Fridays glaze. Honestly worst experience at a Fridays ever and I’m born and raised in the US this turned me off to Fridays altogether

2.02 weeks agoWe visited TGI Fridays in Watford today with a group of eight (five adults and three children). The welcome at the entrance was very friendly, and even though we hadn’t booked, we only waited a couple of minutes at the bar while they arranged tables for us. The service staff at our table were also extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was quite a disappointment. The portions were small – both for the kids’ meals and the adults’ dishes. The food itself was rather dry, lacked care in preparation, and wasn’t served hot. During our meal, we were asked several times if everything was okay, and we requested ketchup or mayo each time. Although the staff nodded and agreed, nothing ever arrived, so we ended up eating everything without it, which made the food even drier. Overall: very friendly staff, but the most important part – the food – was lacking in both quality and presentation. Honestly, a typical fast-food chain would have served us a hotter, fresher burger with more generous portions in less time. Sadly, we cannot recommend this restaurant.
