Wonderful restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the level of service. The dishes were absolutely delicious, clearly prepared with care and beautifully presented. Special mention to the staff — polite, attentive, and genuinely focused on making guests feel welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to our friends!

Disappointing lunch time experience. This pub used to serve excellent, high quality food, but sadly, it’s recently gone down hill with a new menu. Firstly, Staff not trained or briefed on menu. Husband ordered fish and chips and it was dry, with no flesh, like a curled up inner sole (see photo). Portion size and quality have reduced substantially and prices have increased. Lovely location, but sadly, we won’t be returning.

My Dad & I were greeted with a warm & personal welcome to our booked table, lovely menus provided and water straight to the table. Cohesive and charismatic staff team, very attentive. We both had the lamb mixed grill, well presented plates with lovely fresh ingredients. Followed by desserts, a generous crumble served hot!! And a treacle tart, I requested the candied orange to be left off of the dish, replaced by strawberries by the chef, a nice surprise. On the whole a great dining experience in a beautiful pub which offers a dynamic, extensive and well sourced menu. Two full and happy customers.
