This charming French-inspired bistro is the perfect place to head for breakfast right through until dinner after a day punting along the picturesque River Cam or exploring the historic halls of the University of Cambridge.

Their Breakfast menu is an extensive mix ranging from light options such as a simple croissant or fruit salad to cooked breakfast classics such as Eggs Benedict and continental twists such as Crepe Complète with shaved Gruyere cheese. Côte follow the mantra that breakfast is better when boozy and you can upgrade to add a mimosa and Bloody Mary

Choose from corn-fed marinated chicken or sirlion steak (16oz), served with Comté & thyme ‘Yorkshire puddings’, crispy confit potatoes, gratin Provençal, tenderstem broccoli, lemon & herb aioli and peppercorn sauce.

They do have a tendency to get busy so book your Breakfast, Brunch and Sunday Lunch experience at Côte Cambridge now.

We visited on a Wednesday morning mid April to enjoy some breakfast / brunch. It was such a lovely atmosphere with great service, that we had two meals! The food was delightful, Côte has my favourite breakfasts and at a great price!

Very quick service and friendly staff. Didn’t have our selected wine, so ordered a slightly more expensive bottle. But still a lovely wine. 🍷 We had a garlic bread for starters to share and was very nice indeed. Could do with some garlic butter, but otherwise perfect. For mains we had the sharing steak, 🥩 which unfortunately was undercooked, this being an expensive dish should be cooked to perfection. We managed to eat it, but would have been nice to have been cooked to standard.

I was in Cambridge for a few days, and I stumbled across this restaurant. I'm glad I did! Great French-inspired food, in a gorgeous setting in the heart of Cambridge. I had the chicken liver parfait and the confit pork belly, both of which were excellent.
