French Restaurant Not sure about the starters. The onion soup was very salty, but at least had a lot of onion inside. The cheese souffle didn't taste obvious. But the mains were nice, in generous portions. The environment was quiet, clean and nice, despite being located in a main street.

Since I have many posts on Côte restaurants, the majority favourable, I'm disappointed to have to give such a negative review. The service was appalling today! Despite asking for the fougasse to arrive with the main, it came earlier. Not to worry, we ate it anyway. Then the main took ages! I noticed two other tables, where the customers arrived after us, being served their food before our main arrived! Our server obviously knew the customers on one of the other tables and was stopping to chat to them on several occasions. When I asked why it was taking so long, her response insinuated that it was not saying we had the fougasse. However, at this stage we'd been in the restaurant for 1 hour and 20 mins. I think that is ample time to expect to be served the main. When we were asked if everything was okay by another member of staff later, I did express my displeasure with the service and was offered a free dessert. Although I appreciate that gesture, just provide efficient service please! The food was good and up to the usual Côte's standard.

An impromptu New Years Day brunch at Cotê and very glad we did. I had the Garden Breakfast (which comes with a side of toast too) and if you upgrade to the ‘Breakfast Complet’ you also get a hot drink & juice all for £15.95. It was delicious. The atmosphere was friendly & relaxed and the food came in good time. I also had the Madeleines (would of been rude not to) and they are by far the most delicious Madeleines ever at Cotê! Will definitely be back for more! 🤩
