At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel du Vin Stratford-upon-Avon is situated in the heart of the historic Shakespearean town. The original part of the hotel was built in 1798 and has been carefully restored to retain its character and charm.

I don’t usually stay in boutique-style hotels, but I was booked into Hotel Du Vin for work and was genuinely blown away. From the moment we checked in, it felt special. Each room is named after a vineyard instead of numbered, which was such a quirky and fun touch. The decor throughout the hotel was beautiful—elegant, warm, and inviting. I treated myself to a glass of the house rosé and honestly, it was the best house wine I’ve ever had. I’d heard great things about the food, so I chose to stay in rather than explore the nearby town (which is within easy walking distance). I’m so glad I did—dinner was absolutely incredible. The food was flawless, easily a 10/10, and the service matched it. The hotel was spotless, and while the car park wasn’t huge, we had no trouble finding a space. Overall, a lovely stay, and I’d absolutely return—or happily try another Du Vin location if I’m travelling elsewhere. Highly recommend!

I’ve never felt so embarrassed not just for me but for the venue . Whoever organised the wedding fair needs to rethink the whole project , very very poor. It’s just a display , no one showcasing or telling you about what they can offer , One man taking photos , no contact from him , he ignored us as he took photos of the display, one lady half asleep to the right by the chairs , a couple of wedding dresses and a table of Jo Malone. We met with one lady after a moment or two who started chatting to us , a 2nd couple came in just after us and were greeted by a tall lady with long dark hair and offered a glass of Prosecco straight away , we were not offered this until we attempted to leave . The registrar was sat outside in the court area and quickly came in to the staged registry office when we were shown the area , she spoke to us briefly and let us have some brochures , in a nut shell this was a terrible experience for trying to sell your venue or possible other bookings , a missed opportunity from the organisers, we were expecting lots of different people there from ring to photographers to florists and perhaps also be shown the rooms , bar etc , not sure what happened ,Very poor show from the team .

Comfortable hotel, centrally positioned. Very modern decor, rooms tending to be dark. Not my personal taste, but spotless. Breakfast excellent, everything you could ask for. Reception staff friendly, as was all the staff we encountered. The big downside for this hotel is the car parking, about 12 spaces costing 20 quid, then it's over to the multi storey. Well positioned in central Stratford.
