We stayed 6 nights in October and loved the place. It’s not ALL good, but the drawbacks aren’t numerous enough to give it less than five stars. Our room (511) was very small, and could have used a lot more conveniences for stashing clothes and other belongings. Hooks, for example. The ironing apparatus took up way too much space in the tiny closet, but we rearranged everything that we could. Still, lived out of our suitcases too much for a long stay. No real drawers. On the other hand, we could see the spires of St. Paul’s from our room. The decor is adorably hip/quirky, the finishes semiluxurious while being very easy to clean. The breakfasts knocked our socks off, but after 3 days we kind of lost our appetites and scaled way back. Rafael in the mornings epitomized superior service, and indeed most of the staff was excellent. It’s true that the desk clerks could have been more knowledgeable about the surroundings, as someone else mentioned. Next time we might ask for a king bed or twin beds, but we were SO grateful to be allowed in much earlier than the 3 pm check-in time!!!!

What a great stay we had at Lost Property. First of all, the breakfast and breakfast service is outstanding. Cast aside all of your views of a US breakfast buffet. What makes it better? First, the service is great. You can order any kind of coffee or espresso, as well as eggs or other items made to order. The other items in chaffing dishes are better than the standard. The only thing I wish for would be the addition of fresh berries. Next, the rooms and hotel were beautiful, clean, and modern. Yes, the rooms are small but have you ever stayed in New York? Lastly, the location is outstanding. You open the front door of the hotel and you are practically on the steps of St. Paul’s. The only improvement I would make service wise is to have a concierge or at least some more knowledge regarding tube lines, attractions, and dinner ideas. The staff is a bit young for that in general, but very kind and they try hard! Overall lovely visit!

Beautiful property, tucked away internally but a stones throw from St Paul’s cathedral on the main drag. The rooms are beautifully designed and tastefully finished. It’s got an old world charm with its it panelled walls, booths in the restaurant and brushed brass finishes. The air conditioning was either new or just very well maintained as every property I’ve stayed in London has struggled to keep their rooms cool- not this one! I didn’t get a chance to dine at their restaurant but the menu looked great. My favourite bit about this property was the lighting in rooms, subtly and tastefully done.
