Just by Piccadilly, 45 Jermyn St serves Breakfast that runs to last orders at 11:00, which makes it a tidy Brunch option in St James’s. Expect polished service and a delicious menu that mixes comforting plates with a few house signatures.

Opened by the esteemed Fortnum & Mason on the former site of The Fountain in 2015, 45 Jermyn St pairs a marble-topped bar with a smart, classic dining room. The look nods to old St James’s while staying contemporary.

The menu is delicious and straightforward, covering various Breakfast and Brunch classics. Plates include a Full English Breakfast (sausage, bacon, tomato, black pudding, baked beans and eggs any style); Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon or Caviar; Burford Brown Eggs Benedict or Florentine (small or large); Burford Brown Eggs Royale; an Open Omelette of Wild Mushroom and Gruyère; Marmite Crumpet with Fried Duck Egg; Orkney Kippers; and a simple Bacon Sandwich. Lighter options range from Greek yoghurt with granola, fruits and honey and Scotch porridge with honey to Baked eggs with spinach, ricotta and nutmeg, Nutbourne tomatoes on toast, and Avocado with toast and Virgin Mary sauce.

As for drinks, the “Marys” line-up covers both classic and zero-alcohol: Virtuous Mary, Bloody Mary, Dirty Mary, Bloody Shame, and Hinomaru Mary. There are fresh smoothies (The Green One, The Pink One, The Red One, A.B.C.) and a full bar if you want something sparkling with Breakfast or Brunch.

The closest tube stations are Piccadilly Circus (about six minutes on foot), served by the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines; and Green Park (around ten minutes), served by the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines.

This is exactly the kind of restaurant that leaves a lasting impression of the city. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the design is beautiful, the service is great, and the food is unique. I would even come here for breakfast, and for dinner it’s even better. Once again, I want to say that restaurants like this create a very good image of the city. The city’s administration should thank this restaurant for bringing such a great vibe.

We had a lovely evening here—the setting is beautiful, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We were a bit disappointed that the dish my husband and I wanted to share had sold out, however, the dishes we ordered were delicious but portions were a tad small. Our server, Tomas, was great. We had a really nice chat with him and he was super attentive —such lovely staff overall. It made the experience relaxed and enjoyable.

One of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time. The service is impeccable. Incredible drinks and wine selection. The appetizers were incredible specially the steak tartare. The main event of course is the Wellington which is finished table side.
