The Breakfast Club have been ‘Taking care of breakfast since 2005’ and show no sign of slowing down, with their iconic yellow gaffs popping up everywhere across the capital.

This Spitalfields location is a slightly quieter hidden gem, but no less fun and quirky for it. It’s nestled along Artillery Lane and boasts a secret bar upstairs called The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town.

For veggies, the bean shakshuka & avo toast is a delight – poached eggs in a thick harissa, tomato and pepper sauce with sliced avo toast for dipping. Carnivores can’t go wrong with The Breakfast Burrito, which is full to the brim with chorizo, egg, peppers and spicy pepper sauce (also available as a veggie version).

Suppliers like Joe’s Tea and Karma Cola work closely with The Breakfast Club, cementing their status as a champion of independent businesses and ethical practices. Their products are all sustainable and come from across the country to celebrate the best of British.

Spitalfields is a buzzy area so why not have a stroll around the markets and artisan shops before departing – Liverpool Street Station is just across the road from The Breakfast Club.

We had a wonderful time at The Breakfast Club in Spitalfields! My partner is lactose intolerant and they kindly offered plant based pancakes — they were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed two creamy oat milk cappuccinos, simply perfect. A very special thank you to Aoife, our lovely waitress💖💖. She was not only sweet and attentive, but also took the time to recommend fun activities for our trip. Her kindness truly made our experience unforgettable🥰 The staff in general were amazing — fast service, spotless place, and such a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot to everyone visiting London, it’s a must! 🌟

Great food, we both tried the full English breakfast, and it was very tasty, and a big portion. The place is really cosy, really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff was very nice. Our penguin was delighted as well! You might want to book a table in advance, as if you are not so lucky as we were, you may need to wait a bit until you can get a table.

This spot is just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, so the location is great and very central. We had our Sunday morning breakfast here and really enjoyed it. At 8:45 there were barely any tables taken; by 10 most were full. The selection is big enough to suit pretty much everyone. We especially appreciated the wide range of vegetarian options and found the “sausages” super tasty. Hash browns were honestly the best we’ve ever had. Pancakes were fluffy, though very filling. The baked beans, however, weren’t to our taste – honestly, we’d even prefer the canned ones :D.. But of course, taste varies! The staff were relatively kind. There are only two bathrooms, both plastered with stickers and little notes from strangers, which is a really fun touch. Cleanliness could be improved a bit, though. One thing to keep in mind: there’s an “optional” 12.5% service charge added to the bill. So, in my opinion, there’s really no need to tip extra if that‘s already included (as a tourist, I always find this kind of pre-set charge a bit questionable).
