Popped in on a Tuesday for a lunch. Seated straight away. Excellent menu choices, my son and I went for the ultimate roast dinner sandwich. Unfortunately there was only one Yorkshire wrap left, so my son kindly allowed me to have it. He opted for the brioche bun. Was absolutely huge, had to take some home! Obviously we ordered an extra portion of pigs in blankets; my son's favourite. I ordered a non-alcoholic cider and the garnish was impressive. Courtney was a really fab server, friendly and efficient. Would definitely come again if in Lincoln. Would recommend for small or large parties, they have lots of tables and areas.

My girlfriend and I visited Toby Carvery on Tuesday evening for our 8:30 PM booking. While we understood that the restaurant would be closing soon after our arrival, we were surprised and disappointed by the level of customer service we received. Our server, Courtney, was unfortunately rude and unwelcoming in every interaction. Upon seating us, she informed us that the restaurant would be closing in half an hour. We had no issue with this, as we planned to eat promptly. However, from that point on, we felt rushed and pressured to leave by 9 PM, with very little courtesy or hospitality shown. The food itself was fine, especially considering the time of night—no complaints there. But the way we were treated left a sour taste and ultimately ruined what should have been a pleasant evening. If you choose to accept bookings as late as 8:50 PM, there should be a reasonable expectation that customers are treated with the same respect and service as those who dine earlier and enough time to enjoy their food, like any other restaurant. We understand closing procedures need to be followed, but a polite and professional approach goes a long way. This experience has made us hesitant to return. To note, all other interactions we had with other staff members were pleasant.

Probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced, booked a table for 2:30 came in and waited for at least 5 mins to be served, bare in mind multiple staff walked past and the manager was just sat at the corner table doing nothing and didn’t acknowledge us once. Once we were seen and got our food, 2 of the waitresses were slagging off a customer in front of us which I was shocked about. The most unprofessional place I’ve ever ate at, half the staff were either outside in the smoking area chatting or inside chatting the so called manager in the corner doing nothing eating food out of a takeaway container. You could hear the rock music blaring from the kitchen and loads of tables with dirty plates on which weren’t seen to and there was maybe 10 customers in total in there. This place really needs looking into as the relaxed management style is very unprofessional and not a great experience for customers at all.
