Piccolino Sheffield

Picolino in Sheffield is a really beautifully designed space…. very aesthetic, with a relaxed and welcoming vibe throughout. The staff were great from the moment we arrived, friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made for a nice start to the evening. Drinks were spot on, offering a wide selection and well made, so definitely somewhere I’d return for a few drinks in stylish surroundings. That said, the food was a bit of a letdown. The dish I wanted was unavailable, no issues with that in itself, but I only found out when ordering….after spending 10–15 minutes looking over the menu with our drinks. It would make a big difference to the guest journey if the team let people know upfront about any unavailable items when handing out menus. What we did order was decent, but it lacked the depth of flavour you’d hope for at this price point, and didn’t feel like great value for money. It slightly took the shine off what was otherwise a lovely atmosphere and service. Could’ve just been a bad day in the kitchen….who knows. Would definitely go back for drinks and the setting, but I’m on the fence about returning for food.

What a find!!!! We literally stumbled across this place by chance because as usual, we go somewhere and I'm searching for oysters. I called the restaurant to make sure oysters were in stock and there was zero problems with communication and getting through to the venue. We arrived midday and midweek so no reservations were needed. The venue was perfect! Just what I like to be seated in when dining. This restaurant is smart, fresh and clean. The staff members are perfectly dressed and exceptional service. The food was just divine!!! The oysters were so delicious, I had 3 more for my dessert! My partner doesn't really do fish and even went for the seared tuna, which he loved! This place gives San Carlo vibes! THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing an unexpected birthday dessert for my fella. I asked them to sing to him and make it as embarrassing as possible....they delivered haha!!!! We will 100% be making reservations again!!!!

Me and my friends went to piccolinos for my birthday. Our waiter Chai was so so lovely, he brought our drinks and was so nice and made sure we were all ok. Really big thank you to all the staff tho, it was so heartwarming to see everyone singing with a cake for my birthday that my friends got. Absolutely gorgeous place. the atmosphere is amazing and so classy. 100% will be coming back. the food was a 10/10, we all got pastas and all the pasta were sooo fresh. the drinks were on point. I loved it!!
