At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel Du Vin Poole is situated in a narrow cobbled street, just off the historic Quayside in Poole. Originally built in 1776, as the 'Mansion House', the hotel has been decorated to reflect its nautical past, keeping original decorative features, with stone stairs and classical columns.

Lovely stay. Excellent location. Zack the barman, receptionist and cleaning lady were super friendly. Love how they are eco-conscious. They give you a drink voucher if you chose to skip a room cleaning service. Great idea.

Sunday lunch for 2. The food was very good quality , French buffet table was inspiring and different from anything local, a nice twist with great salad and a refreshing hot soup. The Sunday roast main course was good , reflecting with my wife the portion was great for her - 2 thin slices of beef , Yorkshire with two smallish roast potato’s and carrots / broccoli. For most men the portion is slightly on the small side and compared to all other local offerings I would term the offer a small plate. Overall starter excellent , main good but portions on the small side

If you are fortunate to get the double bath suite you are in for a treat! The staff, notably, Tania, were fantastic and the bistro served amazing french fare. Our timing was a bit off due to the renovation work at the bar, but all in all, what an incredible hidden gem near Poole Quay. If you want something that is unique, not far from night life and outstanding service, you landed on your feet here. Would love to stay again in the future. Enjoy!!
