Came for a solo dinner on a Sunday night and was served by Zoe, she did such a great job of getting my drink order, made sure food was okay, and had taken away my empty plate pretty sharpish, very attentive service and all round a great visit! Only grumble was the beef servings were mostly stringy and fatty, but overall a great meal, thank you!

Really good Sunday lunch. The staff are always amazing and friendly. The meat was great, I had the lamb and it was perfect. Lots of choice for veg. Even better that you can go back for more veg (not meat).

    in the last week
Very basic with poorly trained staff. The restaurant was not busy and yet they sat people on top of each other. We had to move our table, (not move from one table to the other but physically move our table) as the next table was encroaching ours. There was no drinks menu and we were asked 'what drinks do you like?' The food was ok. It was hot and the vegetables were ok and potato tasty. We had a mix of all meats and whilst beef and gamon were acceptable, the turkey was dry and the Lamb stringy. The Lamb was the end of the joint and needed replacing. It is not acceptable that any customer should not have the best quality always. At payment we wanted to split the bill but were unable to do so as the sever didnt know how to do it. They didnt offer to find out how to do this but said ' cant one person pay?' (They did tell us they knew how to add a tip!) The queue line for the carvery was chaotic as it ran across walkways meaning those queuing were constantly in the way of those getting post drinks or moving from the gravy station back to their seats. I did not see anyone throughout our visit who I would have recognised as being in charge and the experience felt like it was unsupervised. It was not excessively busy (the restaurant was probably half full) and there were plenty of staff but it was ultimately not a pleasant experience and we would not be encouraged to return.
