Fabulous as always. It’s been a while since I last came, and a few things have changed - new menus, some new staff, new rewards scheme - but some things don’t change. The food was excellent, we had the Capesante and Buffalo de tartufo to start - both very good - I had food envy for Mum’s scallops, but the amount of truffle on the mozzarella made up for it. Bistecca de Fiorentina to share as a main course - cooked perfectly, beautifully presented and full of flavour ( I wasn’t too upset that Mum couldn’t manage an even split of what was a delicious T-bone!). Last but not least, dessert… Classic Tiramisu for Mum - a slightly stronger focus on the almonds than usual, but not unpleasant. I had the budino di panettone (Mum’s turn for food envy), with a glass of Passito - the perfect pairing for this sweet, moreish, Italian bread & butter pudding. At the end of a large meal, I was dubious about finishing with custard, but it was of course a light, vanilla almost-mousse version of custard that was the perfect accompaniment to the apricot-laden goodness of this pud. Of course, the evening wouldn’t be complete without the staff - Gabriele our server was attentive and oh so patient (I was picky with the wine and tried 3 before deciding) - nothing was too much trouble, but he was equally looking out for our best interests (e.g. making sure I knew the price of the wine he’d recommended before I ordered). Overall, a lovely evening, and one I hope to repeat in the not too distant future. One point off for atmosphere, as I was in a slight cold spot - not enough to move for, but enough that I borrowed Mum’s scarf to keep the chill off my neck.

The food is average. We got 2 plates of pasta and we were not impressed, especially given the price. The service was lacking. Waiting time between sitting down and ordering, as well as receiving the meal and the bill. The place itself is nice and good spot for a date.
