We visited today (March 2025) it was so busy, luckily we had booked a table the night before. People were being advised that the wait for a table was 1 hour if they hadn't previously booked. There is a large car park with accessible parking spaces near the main entrance. We had a voucher that entitled us to 2 carvery meals for £12.00. The voucher was for people over the age of 60. The queue for food at the carvery was long and it took us about 30 mins to finally sit with our meal, however, the food was lovely (apart from the lumpy mashed potato). Prices for drinks were around £5.50 for a pint and £2.50 for a small soft drink. We enjoyed our visit and we would recommend it.

Unfortunately a poor show from the Toby Carvery on this visit, which was at 1500hrs on a bank holiday. Firstly, I was agast at how little meat was being placed on the guests plates before me and the paying customers were accepting this. When the meat cutter-upper asked me if (the meager portion) was okay; I kindly requested some meat on the plate. He shaved a bit of the beef of what little he had on show. There must have been a shortage of meat at the time of the day following end of a bank holiday. The area around where you collect your phone was a disaster of unwanted food splattered around the areas. Nobody in the 15 minutes of my family waiting had attempted to scoop / clean the area..... The drinks that were self served from the pop machine had no option of ice as this failed to provide anything to dispense, simply making angry noises. Our server was clearly rushed, and with her relief failing to arrive for work, she had to work on until 1630hrs. Food was not of quality today, so I would highlight if you want quantity over quality at a high cost this may be acceptable.

The manager made room for us during a very busy time. The waitress was excellent and attentive. The meat carver Ryan was exceptional, he was extremely busy but still took the time to go beyond for an older lady who looked like she needed help. He sliced me a nice bit of gammon too. 👍
