The Perfect Sunday Brunch at Browns Brasserie
We truly maxed out the Sunday brunch vibes last weekend at Browns Brasserie in Bristol. It was my first visit to the branch but definitely won’t be my last - we were seriously impressed! There’s something about concluding the weekend with great food in a beautiful setting that really sets you up perfectly for the following week.
The restaurant sits at the top of Park Street, which, let’s be honest, is a bit of a trek! But trust me, the journey is 100% worth it. Climbing up that hill might be a workout, but once you get inside, it’s like reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. The building itself is absolutely stunning - very grand, but still manages to feel warm and welcoming. The whole restaurant has a super cosy and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours.
Browns serve up their Brunch menu every day from open until midday, so you don’t even have to wait until the weekend to indulge. To begin, we enjoyed coffee made to perfection. I tried the strawberry, raspberry and blackberry smoothie, and my guest had the mango, pineapple and passionfruit blend. Both were so refreshing after that walk up the hill!
The Browns brunch menu is full of lots of tasty treats and their dishes come out looking seriously Insta-worthy - they’re the kind of plates where the camera definitely eats first. I kicked off the morning with their smashed avocado and feta on sourdough toast (and, of course, added bacon). Featuring the creamiest avocado, the crispiest smoked bacon, and a mountain of tangy crumbly feta – it was ten out of ten and a definite must-try if you’re an avo toast fan.
The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient, bringing out our food quickly without ever making us feel rushed. We’ll definitely be returning - especially since I spent half the morning eyeing up their cocktail menu. Next time, I’ll be pairing my avo toast with a cheeky brunch cocktail or two!
