Toni behind the bar was brilliant. Service was fantastic. Sandwiches weren’t on which was disappointing as I’d spent half hour choosing… but the garlic bread and loaded potatoes were fab. Toni made the visit for us. 5 star service Thanks !!

Just putting an honest review about my experiences here. I hadn't been to Toby in Marton for over 4 years as it had lost it's way and went down hill, many people agreed and there's even videos on socials about how bad things were. In all honesty things have dramatically changed. I don't just think it's here but across the board. It's seems like they have worked very hard to bring Toby back to life. I returned reluctantly to marton late last year when i signed up to the app and saw a £5 carvery deal. I went and I was honestly surprised, the food including every vegetable were cooked to perfection. Before it was never a great experience, veg all mushy, spillages all over the carvery deck and no taste to anything. You can definitely see a massive improvement. Also the launch of the stamps on the app is great and now the game you can play to earn free food is genius. You can see clearly how the Toby brand is really trying to change and it's working! I'm now back every week again and it's gone back to how it once was where it would match your nans homemade Sunday dinners. It's great to see so much change and effort and with so many establishments closing because of increases in wages, national insurance, and energy costs it's great to see Toby evolve and change and continue moving forward. Well done to everyone and hope it continues!

Wonderful good quality food. However when i walked in i could barely breathe (in March!) it was so hot and humid. So I asked and the air conditioning was assured to me it was fixed last year and I would be put to a table where "I might feel something" as they said "I wouldnt feel anything" at the table I had booked. It was just as bad at the new table they eventually put us at - the busiest section in the restaurant, near the till. Then the waitress laughs and says (not jokingly) - "Before last year the air condioning hadnt worked for 10 years!". So I said "why did they move us to this bit 'Table 21'?", but she said "You can still only feel anything in that section over there!" (pointing nowhere near Table 21). So i doubt air conditioning works at all. The layout of the place is very confusing as is access to toilets. It's easy to bump into people . The app is good, the deals are good, the staff were nice though. If you have a bit of spare money it's good for a change, but woud prove costly to visit often.
