Fabulous Sunday lunch! Food was outstanding from top to tails. Excellent array of options other than beef as well. Martini was fantastic as was the port(“double” pour of whisky felt a bit skimpy, maybe get a smaller glass?). Sticky toffee pudding to die for. Charming and attentive service, the place was packed and we were not rushed in the slightest.

Suprised by the highly rated Sunday roast here. Personally I found it sub-par. Roast potatoes were undercooked with the larger ones being hard inside, contrastingly the Yorkshire pudding was overdone with a burnt outer layer. My partner had the Beef which was standard, I had the Lamb which personally was TOOO rare (I will let you be the Judge from the picture). I had to lather mine in gravy in the hope to hide the bright red meat. The restaurant it self was also very very noisy and felt cramped with seats being back to back in places. However, this Pub had a few bonuses that aided in the 2 Star review. Despite the lamb being bright red it had a delicious garlic seasoning that complimented it excellently. The mint sauce was also homemade which I finished all of. The decor of the Pub also added to the ranking that made the place fit a Sunday Roast.

Lovely visit, they were able to move our booking up at a couple hours notice when our morning tour ended early. Fantastic oysters and Sunday roast. Even accommodated a request for onion rings, which my family member from America said were “the best onion rings we’ve had so far in Europe” (he’s on a personal quest for the perfect onion rings). Overall excellent experience and would come back again.
