We had a booked slot 9:00 22nd Dec Got there ahead of the rush. Used venue for a catch-up with Friends over breakfast. Staff were turning away walk-ins as max booked. We had a 1r timed table.... typical ?!? Hot breakfast not self service but brought by server, would prefer to be left to it, all other breakfast materials self service. One slow hot drinks machine, certain to have been a bottle neck later. Assured that this was not typically so slow. Value for money fair to good. Car Reg logging system disabled / none operational on the day we visited.... one to be aware of for future. Dedicated parking for Beefeater... be sure you park in Beefeater slots only. Access and location good re road network.

We had fresh turkey which by was good. However the entire vegetable deck had been sitting under the lights for some time. I’d imagine there wasn’t much footfall as the place was pretty empty. ALL food on the deck was dried out, chewy and tasteless. Not being replaced as all the dishes were fairly full. Gravy like water. Service good but wasn’t worth the money even with a 50% discount. Left very disappointed. Don’t think we’ll go back as you’re at the mercy of the timings.

We visited late evening 2030 and had the carvery. The meat was good, the Yorkshire puddings were ok but the vegetables were dried up too long under the heat lights. The gravy was starting to congeal. The service was rather slow. Based on previous visits, I would recommend a visit lunch time or early evening but not late evening
