    in the last week
On this occasion they were very busy as they had a 50% deal on. Unfortunately this did affect the food. Floppy soggy Yorkshires, overcooked sausages, no sauce on what I presume was meant to be cauliflower cheese. Serving lady dropped a Yorkshire pudding on the floor because she was rushing. Otherwise...other meats looked good. Place was clean, tables were cleaned fast. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I stuck with bottled drinks this time as the last time I went the bottomless drinks were awful, super weak.

Came here on a busy Sunday afternoon, as we’ve found the food is definitely fresher when it’s busy. Our waitress Eve was super friendly and helpful, even with the place being full. The roast meats were delicious as always and the Yorkshire puddings were huge and perfect. The other dishes were not so great. The parsnips were black (and so no one was eating them, which meant they don’t get changed!) the cauliflower cheese was a very loose definition of that. The carvery area was pretty messy and not cleaned in the 2 hours we were there. New food was continuously poured on top of the old. Condiments had been accidentally mixed by people and were not changed. Fizzy drink disperser was out of a couple flavours. It is what you expect from the place though to be fair. Reasonably priced filling food in large quantities. I am sure we will be going back again.

Came here with a friend midweek to try the carvery and although the food was nice and the servers pleasant, there were issues which I blame the management for. Clearly there’s a staffing issue as there doesn’t seem to be enough people to cope with the demand. Food takes a while to be replenished and the staff seem exhausted. I also didn’t know how to order the king size version of the carvery or to order the extras, etc, as wasn’t given the chance. The eternal question is whether the Yorkshires are unlimited alongside the veg? Otherwise we enjoyed the food and would come again.
