    Visited on a bank holiday, dinner time, and didn’t think to book a table but it was crazy busy. Despite this, we were seated and had our order taken quickly. The restaurant was rammed, but our table was clean and so was the rest of the restaurant; carvery and drinks area spotless. Food was tasty, but not as good as it has been, however, still good and amazing value for money. Overall a good dinner and Would recommend for a simple family style restaurant with easy going food and decent prices.

    We took up Toby breakfast offer and what a con it is. All drinks (tea, coffee or soft drinks) cost extra and there is no orange or apple juice option. There is toast, but there are no preserves. We booked the Maidstone venue and it was appalling. You have to pay upon entering and then handed your knife and folk. The gentleman that took our money was so rude to both of us, basically he couldn't be bothered and curt about prices when questioned about coffee or soft drinks. Only cold fizzy drinks from a dispenser were available after paying an extra £4.50 each and then handed a glass. If you wanted coffee or tea, again after paying you are only then handed a cup. Despite reading on the Toby offer what you could have, there was no porridge, cereals, potato hash, jams or marmalades and certainly no tea or coffee unless you paid extra. I am going to contact the head office to find out if these should have been included in the offer.

    We visited today at Langley park Toby Carvery. I wanted to make sure that the great service we received was recognised. There was a particular staff member who was extremely friendly and put a smile on my Mum’s face. Which was lovely to see as my father passed away in January and there have been very few smiles since as you can imagine. I mentioned the waiter to the staff at the front door when we left and they did tell me the staff members name but unfortunately I have forgotten it and they did not have a name badge, it was a tall guy with dark hair and a lovely accent. Our table was booked for 4:15pm, I hope that this gets the thanks to him and recognition that we feel he deserves. Oh he was also very good at upselling ☺️
