We visited The Prince Regent on New Year's Day and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and the food was good pub fare. I enjoyed the Miso chicken skewers with chips (fries for us Americans!) and the flavorful Wild Boar, Pork & Ale Sausages. The skewers could have benefited from a dipping sauce. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the piping hot Black Treacle Beef Brisket & Portobello Mushroom Pie, which she had been looking forward to. I accompanied my meal with a Camden Pale Ale, while my wife savored an Earl Grey Tea IPA recommended by the bartender, which was quite refreshing. We even overheard a neighboring table raving about their delicious fish and chips. Overall, we had a positive experience and look forward to returning to The Prince Regent in the future.

Updated review - A year on and the service was definitely more efficient. Staff were very helpful and gave the personal touch. Food was very tasty although presentation of the starters could have been better and larger portion sizes on some dishes for those with bigger appetites! The start dishes were to share. Great traditional pub with a buzz of busy conviviality emanating from the varied mix of patrons imbibing in this large but cozy venue. Just one thing let down The Prince Regent on my last visit - the service was at a snails pace with no sense of urgency from the bar staff. Outside seating is limited albeit this traditionally styled boozer is far better suited to the inside drinking experience.

Booked a Sunday roast for two. We were hosted and served by Chantal. Delicious meal and an awesome service. The roast was served with the all traditional food items. Sirloin and the Yorkshire puddings were particularly delicious. The atmosphere was great. Would definitely come back.
