My husband and I got married at The Jugged Hare in December, and I cannot speak highly enough about the experience. The staff went above and beyond to create a day that felt truly special—they were phenomenal in every way. The food was absolutely exceptional; it’s one of the rare weddings where guests are still raving about the meal long after the day has passed. And let me not forget to mention their espresso martinis—they are genuinely the best I’ve ever had. If you’re considering The Jugged Hare for your wedding, I couldn’t recommend them more. They made our day unforgettable!

We visited here with friends as my husband really wanted to go to a restaurant which served game food. We had some beautiful dishes, my favourite was the black pudding croquettes. The rabbit pie was rich, but lovely, same for my friends jugged hare dish. The grouse was particularly excellent. The menu changes so it was nice to have such a range of game options. The wine was great, but if i was being picky, I could have done with some cheaper options to keep the drinks flowing! They had ran out of certain ones so it was £60-70 a bottle. The decor was fitting, loved the taxidermy. If i was in the area again i would like to try more of their dishes.
