The Breakfast Club have been ‘Taking care of breakfast since 2005’ and show no sign of slowing down, with their iconic yellow gaffs popping up everywhere across the capital.

This Spitalfields location is a slightly quieter hidden gem, but no less fun and quirky for it. It’s nestled along Artillery Lane and boasts a secret bar upstairs called The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town.

For veggies, the bean shakshuka & avo toast is a delight – poached eggs in a thick harissa, tomato and pepper sauce with sliced avo toast for dipping. Carnivores can’t go wrong with The Breakfast Burrito, which is full to the brim with chorizo, egg, peppers and spicy pepper sauce (also available as a veggie version).

Suppliers like Joe’s Tea and Karma Cola work closely with The Breakfast Club, cementing their status as a champion of independent businesses and ethical practices. Their products are all sustainable and come from across the country to celebrate the best of British.

Spitalfields is a buzzy area so why not have a stroll around the markets and artisan shops before departing – Liverpool Street Station is just across the road from The Breakfast Club.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing brunch spot with fantastic food and lovely service! The green and pink juices were super fresh, the Greasy Spoon was a comfort food dream, and the smashed avocado was perfectly seasoned. The real highlight? Fluffy pancakes topped with the most incredible passion fruit cheesecake filling—absolute heaven! The staff was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

We have been to the breakfast club many times (Soho, Angel and Spitalfields) and it never disappoints. The food was great today (we ordered the all American and the eggs Benedict). It has a really cosy yet lively atmosphere and friendly servers. I had to give the service 4* but only because our food took quite a while to come. Tips: if you get french toast fingers get the maple syrup with it instead of the chocolate sauce.

It was a bit of a disappointing experience. We had savoury pancakes, which took a bit of time, but we thought this is a good thing as everything is freshly made to order. Yet then when our food arrives, it's already starting to get cold. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but I couldn't help noticing they were quite stressed. Three times the waitress was interrupted by her colleagues when trying to take our order. Super nice staff, but definitely overworked. Apart from being a bit cold, the taste and quality of the food was decent. But in comparison to the price, this is a poor choice. Also the hidden service charge is sneaky - not mentioned anywhere on the menu but then there's 12.5% added on your bill. Pay your staff properly, even raise the prices if you must, and this is not a problem. As it stands, it's cheap and deceitful.
