This is a large Fuller's pub close to Liverpool Street station, Spitalfields Market and Petticoat Lane. I was here at 3.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon and it was quite busy. I opted for a London Pride at £6.30. They had a good beer selection but only 3 casks. I spotted around 15 whiskies. They do have a traditional menu of pub food, I have previously eaten here and the food was okay. They also have a reasonably sized outsidee seating area. The service was very good. In summary a nice pub for a couple of drinks.

There was a large group of us on Sunday (15+ people) with no booking, and we sat upstairs. Drinks weren't crazy expensive, but not cheap either. I sampled someone's chips. They were OK. On the ground floor, there is a dining area for food only customers. We were really happy to find a place to accommodate so many of us at the last minute. The Women's European Final was on and we got to watch the beginning of the Lionesses' amazing match. The TV was good and volume just right. A mixed crowd but not unruly. It seems pretty clean by pub standards. Modern, bright, windows open a tad if you need it, and I'd be fine to come back to this one. What's great is that it's off the main areas and it's not so busy on a Sunday. Everywhere seems so rammed these days and I love these little winding hidden streets that most people don't know about.

Had a lovely time at The Astronomer! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a nice balance of cosy and modern. The food was delicious — well-presented and full of flavour. What really stood out, though, was the service. Carly, our waitress, was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of without being overbearing. She had great recommendations and kept everything running smoothly. Would definitely come back!
