We visited Sea Containers London for the New Year’s Eve dinner. While the communication and all inquiries were handled quickly via email, the dinner itself was disappointing, especially the salmon served as a starter, which was clearly not fresh. When I informed the manager, he simply removed the dish from the table without offering any solution or apology. Aside from this, the place is beautiful, and the hotel’s architecture is impressive, but I would not recommend it, especially for a celebration like Christmas or New Year’s. The meat was fine, but the service and the fish left much to be desired. The salmon had an unpleasant smell, as if it had been sitting there for 2 or 3 days. This was not the level of quality expected for such an occasion.

Two friends and I dined here recently for a festive brunch out in London. The brunch was good value for money with the Prosecco option being £19 each for 1.5 hours of free flowing drink. On top of that you then choose which food dishes you would like. We had a couple of starters (recommend the 4 cheese croquettes) and then chose a main dish each, I would recommend the lobster roll which was tasty and filling, alongside the al crab crab Benedict which had plenty of crab. Service was great, the staff were attentive and made sure our drinks were filled at all times. Unlike some other brunches, it did not have a lively atmosphere but it made it a good venue to chat and enjoy company alongside the views of the river and St Paul’s.

Breakfast only - The food was not good. We both had to get our eggs redone (poached and over easy). It seems they grab most things for your plate off the buffet - even if you order a la carte. The cappuccinos were nice but not sure if they had any caffeine lol. Fresh juice was also great. The waitress we had was lovely and checked in on us. And it’s a beautiful spot.
