A delicious, traditional Sunday Roast whilst overlooking stunning views of the City, Roast Restaurant is as welcoming and homely as it is a special event.

The expansive space above Borough Market, a Victorian-esque haven with grand arched windows and a glass front to peer out over the skyline, has been fittingly repurposed and is now home to one of the tastiest Sunday Roasts in the area.

Breakfast dishes range from lighter bites - granola with dried berries, porridge with fresh berries, smashed avo and poached egg - to a hearty 'Full Borough' and 'Full Veggie Borough.'

Enjoy three courses of delicious British fare with their epic Sunday Roast. Start with one of their signature Scotch Eggs, or for veggies a New Season English Asparagus & Barley Salad with whipped yoghurt and pomegranate, before moving on to their stunning main courses. Pork Belly with Bramley apple sauce or a one hundred-day Dry-aged Roast Beef are decadent and substantial, but make sure you leave room for dessert – the Sticky Toffee Pudding is a must-try and comes with toffee sauce and Devonshire clotted cream.

The area is the birthplace of market traders, peddling their wares from dusk until dawn, so why not take advantage and have a gander at what’s on offer before heading to London Bridge Underground, just a five-minute walk away.

This was like a hidden gem inside borough market. Beautiful decor and equally beautiful cuisine. We had a private room so it was easy to chat; however, when the door opened it was quite loud out in the dining area. The service was top notch, prompt, clean, attention to detail - I couldn't ask for anything more. We started with some Scotch eggs and scallops, both of which were fantastic. Our entire table of 10 ordered the wellington and it came out looking and tasting amazing. Needed a pinch of salt, but that could be my American palette shining through. Fantastic sides with carrots, spinach, mushrooms and cheesy cauliflower. The drinks were great as well. I ordered the Big Ben and it was a hit at the table.

We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch at Roast. We had the beef and lamb, both of which were very good and the meat was tender. The roast potatoes were deliciously crispy and we really enjoyed the mixed vegetables too. The freshly made mint sauce with the lamb was an excellent addition. All in all, a very good roast. The restaurant is light and airy and the view is over Borough market. The entrance way is a little over the top, in my opinion, with all the floral instagram style decorations, but the inside of the restaurant is less so. The formal dining area is quite nice. Riccardo, our waiter, was charismatic and friendly making the experience even nicer. We look forward to going back.

Took my nan here for her birthday and we had the afternoon tea. Some of us were late but the staff waited for everyone to arrive and once seated there was no pressure for us to rush. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and my nan loved it. She was very impressed by the size of the individual tea pots. We had both the regular and Halal tea menus and they were both delicious. The scotch eggs on both were amazing and the cakes very flavoursome. They gave the birthday girl a little chocolate tart which made her day she was so happy with it, so thank you for that nice little touch. We weren't able to eat everything so were given boxes to take our left overs in. The staff were very friendly and attentive, giving a 10 out of 10 service. I recommend coming through Stony road entrance of the market instead of London Bridge way as it is less busy and easier to get to the restaurant.
