5.0a month agoFantastic Sunday roast. Turkey was moist and flavourful. Mushroom and sweet potato wellington was also very tasty and balanced. All the trimmings were great, especially the creamed corn. The waitress was extremely attentive and even managed to get the kitchen to prepare the food for us despite it usually being first come first serve. The food took a little long to come (because of it being prepped fresh) but because of the wait, we had some complimentary items. Really beautiful setting too! Great place to have a meal

5.0a week agoIf you visit Bloomsbury you need to try this beautiful place. The staff are amazing the first night Lea looked after us. We initially just went out for drinks but ended up eating there two nights in a row. The place itself is gorgeous and cosy. The food was lovely we had the rum battered fish and chips and was really the best fish we’ve had in a long time. Definitely recommend and be back at some point.

1.03 weeks agoWe went to celebrate our first ever Christmas day eating out instead of at home cooking. We brought along our 2 children. However from the moment our starter was delivered we were being rushed to our next course and when we were taking photos the staff wanted to clear up the table and did not offer to take photo. We ordered an adult turkey main and kids turkey main. The kids portion ended up having more meat than the adult portio We were then asked if we wanted any tea or coffee. However the moment our dessert arrived we were chased to vacate our table soon. Our little one needed the toilet just before we were due to leave, however the staff told us they need to reset the table and needed us gone. This was literally 2hrs after our booking. My coffee arrived However as we literally had to get up with our coats even whilst children were in toilet I had to down the flat white coffee. What an awful experience and totally ruined my high expectations of Riding House and celebrating a special Christmas Day together. Will not go back again. Be warned the staff will push you to leave and don't seem to think about your experience. Considering this was a £300+ bill for 2 adults, 1 child and a baby this was not service I experience in other restaurants.
