This is a highly recommended place for a sophisticated atmosphere at an affordable price. Saturday nights feature a live jazz show that can make conversation challenging, but it’s definitely enjoyable. The menu offers enough variety, and I had the butter chicken with rice—an impressively generous portion for the price. Service was prompt and attentive. While smart casual attire isn’t mandatory, it’s a good idea, as the restaurant suits formal styles. Overall, it’s a great choice for a lovely night out.

We had the Sunday feast, and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible. Our table was booked for 6:30 and last sitting is at 7pm, so we were nervous of the quality, but it was insanely delicious. Expensive, but worth every penny in my opinion.

Unfortunately, my recent experience at Millie’s was quite disappointing. Despite the appealing ambiance and live music (though barely audible from the restaurant), the dining experience fell far short of expectations. Firstly, the service was frustratingly slow and unprofessional. After being seated, we experienced long delays, with over an hour wait between the starter and main course. To make matters worse, they brought out completely incorrect orders at one point. One of the most concerning issues was that a pregnant friend had specific dietary restrictions that were carefully explained to the waiter multiple times. However, her meal arrived with the very ingredients she had explicitly asked to avoid. This was not only careless but unacceptable. As for the food, it was mostly underwhelming. We ordered a variety of dishes, including cheese soufflé, Caesar salad, beetroot salad, cheeseburger, curry chicken, and mushroom pie. The cheese soufflé and curry chicken with rice were the only highlights, being well-prepared and tasty. The mushroom and squash pie, however, was a disappointment, with spinach and lentils replacing the main ingredients listed on the menu — something the staff failed to explain. The cheeseburger was bland and not enjoyable. While the atmosphere might be pleasant for drinks, I don’t believe it’s worth dining at Millie’s, given the poor service and inconsistent food quality. Save your money and opt for the drinks instead, as the overall dining experience leaves much to be desired.
