Designed to bring the taste and feel of Australia's café culture to London, Lantana served the first Aussia Brunch in the capital, bringing a little piece of Australia to the heart of London.

Fitzrovia is the original Lantana, it’s been 15 years since Lantana first opened doors and gave an unsuspecting Britain a sunny taste of Australian Brunch. They now have their own cookbook and several venues across London.

Urban architecture mixed with a Bondi beach vibe gives Lantana the perfect backdrop to enjoy a casual, comfortable Breakfast spread. Try the teriyaki salmon poke bowl, lighter options such as peanut butter bircher overnight oats, or their classic ‘corn fritters’ in a stack with halloumi or bacon, spinach, tomatoes, smashed avo and lemon crème fraiche.

At weekends their infamous Brunch, called the ‘Lantana Blowout’, includes free-flowing Prosecco or Mimosa (or unlimited juices and coffee for non-drinkers) alongside one of their iconic Brunch items.

Located in the heart of Fitzrovia, tucked down a sun-trapped pedestrian Lane on Charlotte Place, Lantana is just a short walk from Goodge Street Station.

We made a reservation for breakfast. When we arrived they were just opening and it was quiet and we weren’t sure the reservation was necessary. But within 30 minutes the place was full and we were glad we had one. There were a lot of people who appeared to be repeat customers - which speaks volumes. Our service was quick and staff were kind and welcoming. I had the French toast for breakfast. I underestimated the level of spice that would be in a French toast dish - so it was a little on the hot side for me. But it was all well prepared and beautifully presented.

Enjoyed a very tasty breakfast - a very fancy Smashed Avo with a perfectly poached egg and smoked salmon. Simply delicious. The coffee was excellent. My cappuccino was a perfectly balanced coffee - not weak, not too bitter, not too milky and just the right temperature. Hard to find a better coffee in Melbourne, whilst easily the best coffee I've ever had in London. Service was friendly, prompt and professional. Atmosphere was lively. Not overcrowded, not too noisy despite being 75% occupied. An all-round excellent breakfast venue.

We came here for breakfast and both enjoyed our meals. I got the crispy French toast, I was slightly worried the chilli syrup might be too spicy for me but it was good. We made a reservation but we got there for opening so not sure it was required. It got busier as we were eating. The staff were friendly and efficient. The toilet is downstairs.
