A cute east London spot with a French name, Asian twist and a big cello in a small dining room. £70 pp for the tasting & pairing menu felt about right. Small portions, nicely plated. Good accompanying wines. Generally felt like the Asian touches, although interesting, didn’t always improve the flavour of the dishes: if you’re going to play with classics like Beef Tartare and paint it with sriracha, it has to deliver. The Chilli Teriyaki Pork Belly with Peach & Miso was the better of the three courses. Overall, nice date spot. But maybe like the cello, needs a little bit more tuning.

We booked a Japanese whisky tasting and had a great time! Staff were friendly and welcoming- you could tell they take pride in what they do. Melissa was so personable and knowledgeable about her craft. We learned a lot and really enjoyed our tasting experience. Cocktails were perfectly balanced, food was delicious! Highly recommend, we hope to visit again soon!

A really enjoyable afternoon tea experience with a twist, and great service! I had the Japanese afternoon tea using a voucher. The hostess was very amenable, she explained how it worked, and was ready with our voucher details so there was no hassle with trying to retrieve the details on the day. The afternoon tea was different to other ones that I’ve had and had some interesting and tasty flavours. Everything was really delicious, but if you have a sweet tooth like me, you’ll love the chocolate tart! I tried two teas, a black tea and a green tea, again both were good and complimented the food well. I also enjoyed the little sand timer were were given to ensure it had brewed for long enough. A great afternoon out, would highly recommend, perfect for an occasion!
