End the week in style at Hawksmoor Spitalfields, a sophisticated steak restaurant with a stunning Sunday Roast.

Best known as a steak and seafood restaurant, Hawksmoor Spitalfields have honed and tweaked their Sunday Roast to perfection, part-cooked over charcoal and served with all the trimmings – duck fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, greens, roasted shallots & garlic and lashings of bone barrow and onion gravy.

The interior has a regal grandeur that will take you back in time, though the low lighting and leather upholstery are thoroughly modern.

Shoreditch High Street Station is a short walk away, but why not check out the amazing shops and sights before heading back.

This dinner at Hawksmoor might be the best part of my time in London. Honestly, I wasn’t a fan of the city, but this steak really turned things around for me. We started with the bone marrow, and wow, it was super rich and fatty! I had the strip steak, and my husband got the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly. We also ordered mac and cheese and creamed spinach on the side, which were great accompaniments. For dessert, we went for the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream, and it was pure heaven—definitely the highlight of the meal! The service was excellent too, really attentive. Overall, I’m glad I got to try Hawksmoor; it made my London trip a bit more enjoyable!

Been there twice, had the rib-eye and the fillet, my friend had the fillet twice, the second time was better than the first time.. is it the best steak I ever had, not exactly, but it is very good still and I would recommend it. The cream spinach and the baked sweet potato are strongly recommended too. The star of the show is by far the sticky toffee pudding, it's wow-ing in that place, you should definitely try it. The service is a bit slow sometimes, we had to wait for about 50 min before we got our food.

The star of the show, of course, is the beef. Whether you prefer rare, medium-rare, or well-done, Hawksmoor consistently delivers a masterpiece. Personally, I always choose medium-rare and the flavours you get are beautiful. To complement the exceptional food, their wine list is equally impressive. With a carefully curated selection of both old and new world wines, there's something to suit every palate. Their knowledgeable sommeliers are always on hand to offer expert recommendations and ensure you pair your wine perfectly with your meal.
