Good things come in small packages, as exemplified by Franks Canteen, which offers innovative food and excellent service.

Situated in Highbury, the small and homely Franks Canteen is named after the chef’s toddler. White tiled, light and airy- it’s a relaxed place for a catch-up with friends and family over a properly cooked Brunch.

Franks is renowned for its creative and ambitious dishes, which feature fresh ingredients. If you're looking for something inventive, then Frank's is the place to be for a diverse Breakfast and Brunch.

Sourdough and poached Burford Browns are an enduring staple on the menu at Frank's, which changes weekly. The chef enjoys experimenting with flavours, creating classic yet creative dishes with locally sourced ingredients.

Dishes such as the bacon or sausage bap with tomato chutney, croissant French toast with cinnamon sugar, mascarpone & maple syrup, pork belly tortilla, or their Full Frank's (full English) create a delightful and comprehensive Breakfast and Brunch menu. Both menus feature a variety of key side dishes that serve as perfect accompaniments.

Frank's weekend Brunch allows you to enjoy their Breakfast menu all day

We were looking for a place to brunch, and this little spot has it all: flavourful food, helpful service, an interesting menu, great coffee, and a stellar happy hour. Yes, we stayed on from a late brunch to an early Happy Hour. The Grapefruit Margarita was far too tasty to ignore. Don’t hesitate to pop in. The dinner specials all looked promising too! We all shared the potatoes with roasted garlic aioli—but you might want to keep them for yourself.

Really lovely dinner here on Saturday night. The food is exceptional- every dish was superb and a special shoutout to the scallops in brown butter and Cod main course, and the meringue dessert! The service was a little slow (not sure if this is usual as the staff did keep apologising) BUT it was such a nice relaxed atmosphere and we had bread and wine to keep us going so it was fine. I want to return to try the breakfast and all other dishes!

Been to this little cafe a couple of times before, a couple of years ago but had forgotten about it. Passed by today and am so happy I went in for post exercise brunch. They have a really talented chef in there. Had a brioche bun with asparagus, marscapone, roasted tomatoes, fried egg and added bacon. It was just delicious and beautifully cooked. The ingredients were really high quality. Nothing here tastes like other places, it's always a bit different and elevated. Great coffee too. Have had to abandon the place on busy days when there's been a long wait but today was nice and quiet and I got a seat easily.
