I had an absolutely wonderful evening at Côte in Kensington. For starters, I went with calamari, seared scallops, crab maison, and the French onion soup — which was immaculate, rich, and perfectly savoury. For my main, I chose the salmon and swapped the truffle chips for a fresh salad — an excellent decision, as the seasoning was spot-on and every bite was perfect. Dessert was a highlight in itself — the crème caramel was silky, rich, and quickly became my absolute favourite, while the chocolate lava cake was indulgent and perfectly gooey in the centre. Later, I enjoyed a few cocktails, and the new flat white cocktail from their latest range was hands down my favourite. I also tried the “Passion in Paris,” which was equally delightful. The whole evening had a romantic charm, especially with the beautiful Kensington walkway just outside. A special thank you to Krish, who made the night truly memorable.

We had a very enjoyable pre-concert dinner at the Kensington Cote this week. The service was friendly and fast, and we were lucky with the weather, so an outside table allowed us to get some early evening sunshine 🌞. The a la carte mains we chose were the Beef Cheek Bourguignon and the Poulet Breton with the Petits Pois à la Française side dish, both were delicious. A couple of free glasses of Crémant Rosé was a nice bonus too. Recommended.
