Was really quiet. Good clean venue. Ordered a beer and it was so fizzy the bar person poured into 3 glasses and combined into 1 beer. Let it tasting flat and it lost its life. Nice views across the basin and a good early afternoon sun trap.

The location is quite nice, so I decided to have drinks and dinner here with the wife. After entering I was greated by a friendly lady behind the bar, explaining some of the possibilities to order. You can order from the guy running around if you can flag him down, or by the bar. After sitting down I realised there is a third option as well, you can place an order online by scanning the dedicated qr code on each table prompting you to “order and pay”. You can select items from the menu, and even see allergen info plus a nice picture of the items as well. Sounds great! I wanted to give it a try so I thats what I did. Drinks arrived promptly so I assumed all is good, food’s gonna follow. A runner came to us with a food ticket from the printer asking if I ordered that (order for table 103, we are sitting on 105…) I told him, no, I ordered something completely different for this table which is 105. He said ok, thanks. The food did not follow though. After ordering and recieving another round of beer I asked the server how much longer for the food? Some 5 minutes later he came back. There’s an issue with the printer in the kitchen, he said. They recieved my drinks order and all the food orders from other customers before, and after my arrival, but not ours. He apologised and offered to refund all food, if we cant wait, which I refused apart from the one dish we did have to cancel, as by now my wife could not wait any longer and had to leave for a meeting. Hungry. Something definetely must have been wrong with the system as shortly after this conversation the runner brought me an other beer which I did not order but he tried to convince me that I did. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm, with a bit of bone in the chicken fries. I ate alone and finished it all because I was very hungry. Flavour was ok, beers are nice. I was waiting for quite a while for my server to eirher bring the card machine over or say something about the refund of the 1 dish, only to suddenly seeing him packing up and going home, I had to run after him to ask how the refund is gonna happen because he did not explain that part. Apperantly its automatic through the app and probably will arrive by the next business day, but I did not recieve any email like i did for the orsers or paper copy of that. I found this quite odd. I dont want to be unreasonable, its an alright place, not gonna give 1* for one bad experiance, but this experiance was quite uncomfortable and unpleasant for us. Service: 3/5 Problem solving / communication: 3/5 right solution, poor explanation. System: 3/5 I was excited about it and it has great potential but it’s faulty Athmosphere: 5/5 Food: 3/5

It's a reliable option when looking for a decent beer in the area, but my goodness, it's expensive! £6.50 for pork scratchings and £17 for two drinks (one of which was nonalcoholic) is just a bit too much for me! The food is good, but not always that filling, and again very expensive for what it is. Nice venue, some decent beers, and a perfectly good place to meet friends, etc, but don't offer to buy a round 😆
