Blacklock was born from a love of the traditional Chophouse. Drop by for chops, cocktails, wine on tap and of course a formidable Sunday Lunch.

Prioritising quality meaty goodness, Blacklock’s meat is sourced exclusively from small farms in Cornwall owned by award winning butchers, the Warren Family.

Sunday Lunch is the perfect opportunity to get around a table with friends and family and regale each other with the week's goings-on. Many claim to have the best, but at Blacklock they know no roast will ever beat the nostalgic feast Mums dish out up and down the land each week.

However, they do their best to get as close to that comforting feast, safe in the knowledge that it will only ever be almost as good as Mum's. The Roast menu is only available on Sundays with delicious chops and steaks (and plenty in-between) served throughout the week.

Blacklock Covent Garden is located just off Bedford Street with fantastic transport links from Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Charing Cross, near the many theatres in the West End, the National Operal House, Somerset House and one of London’s most famous shopping districts.

Visited Blacklock for the first time. Girlfriend booked it for a group of us based on reviews and location. You go in and down into the main area where it is all happening. This was busy and the atmosphere was buzzing. Service was excellent. I went for the 300g fillet and it was good ... very good! Had the crayfish salad for starter and was surprised at how good that was ... the avocado in the base salad is sublime. I did see the beef ribs starters coming out though and admit to some food envy but cannot complain as the crayfish salad was good and quite light before tucking into the steak main. I had the low alcohol beer served in an iced beer glass - nice!. Next time I'm going for the porterhouse! Will definitely be going back to this place and cannot recommend it enough. Superb.

Blacklock, A Carnivore’s Dream Come True! We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Blacklock, and honestly, wow. Hands down the best food we’ve had in London this week (and we’ve eaten a lot). We went for the All-In Sharing Platter and it did not disappoint, perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavour. The chips were golden perfection, and the broccoli & walnut salad was a surprisingly delicious and refreshing contrast to the meaty madness. Who knew broccoli could be that exciting? We didn’t book a table and despite it being pretty busy, we were seated in the bar area, which actually turned out to be great, still full of atmosphere and charm. The manager served us and paused to have a chat, which added such a lovely personal touch. The service was 5-star from start to finish: friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. We couldn’t fault a single thing. If you’re in London and want incredible food in a buzzing, welcoming setting, get yourself to Blacklock. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. PS that cheesecake is AMAZING!

We had the most amazing Sunday Roast at Blacklock Covent Garden – hands down the best we’ve ever had! We ordered the All In Roast, which came with pork, beef, and lamb – all perfectly cooked and paired with delicious apple sauce, mint sauce, and mustard. The crispy pork crackling was a standout, and the vegetables were roasted beautifully. The giant Yorkshire pudding soaked in rich gravy was absolutely divine. For dessert, we had the apple crumble with hot custard – comforting, warm, and exactly what we wanted to end the meal. The atmosphere was vibrant and cosy, service was lovely, and the place was packed – so definitely book in advance to avoid missing out. It had everything we love about a classic British Sunday Roast, done to perfection. Highly recommended!
