Blacklock was born from a love of the traditional Chophouse. Drop by for chops, cocktails, wine on tap and of course a formidable Sunday Lunch.

Prioritising quality meaty goodness, Blacklock’s meat is sourced exclusively from small farms in Cornwall owned by award winning butchers, the Warren Family.

Sunday Lunch is the perfect opportunity to get around a table with friends and family and regale each other with the week's goings-on. Many claim to have the best, but at Blacklock they know no roast will ever beat the nostalgic feast Mums dish out up and down the land each week.

However, they do their best to get as close to that comforting feast, safe in the knowledge that it will only ever be almost as good as Mum's. The Roast menu is only available on Sundays with delicious chops and steaks (and plenty in-between) served throughout the week.

Blacklock in the City is just a stone’s throw away from Leadenhall and Old Billingsgate Market and close to London Bridge and Tower Bridge with great transport links from Monument, Fenchurch Street Station, Bank and Cannon Street.

Delicious yummy food, the meat chops were so tasty, chips amazing, yummy sauces and the brocoli salad was out of this world. The bread to finish the tasty juices off. Very nice cocktails to start with too. Attention to detail was spot on. Service friendly yet very attentive and professional. Reasonably priced and great value for money. Highly recommend!

We had a family lunch on Saturday. The menu wasn’t as varied as I had expected. Since I generally find steak hard to chew, I opted for a burger with fries cooked in beef dripping. Other family members chose rib-eye steak, beet and goat curd salads, and drinks. The food was well-cooked and nicely presented. The cheesecake we had for dessert was particularly good—I especially liked the way it was served, as shown in the video. Overall, while the experience was pleasant, there wasn’t much to get excited about.

Great Sunday roast, if not only the best I had in a long time. Since I’ve arrived, I felt welcomed. Despite not having a reservation, the waiter has found a table for me. The service was attentive and professional from start to finish. The food was tasty and well balanced. I recommend having Sprouts and Bacon as a side as well. Definitely recommend it, and definitely I will try it again
