Blacklock was born from a love of the traditional Chophouse. Drop by for chops, cocktails, wine on tap and of course a formidable Sunday Lunch.

Prioritising quality meaty goodness, Blacklock’s meat is sourced exclusively from small farms in Cornwall owned by award winning butchers, the Warren Family.

Sunday Lunch is the perfect opportunity to get around a table with friends and family and regale each other with the week's goings-on. Many claim to have the best, but at Blacklock they know no roast will ever beat the nostalgic feast Mums dish out up and down the land each week.

However, they do their best to get as close to that comforting feast, safe in the knowledge that it will only ever be almost as good as Mum's. The Roast menu is only available on Sundays with delicious chops and steaks (and plenty in-between) served throughout the week.

Blacklock in the City is just a stone’s throw away from Leadenhall and Old Billingsgate Market and close to London Bridge and Tower Bridge with great transport links from Monument, Fenchurch Street Station, Bank and Cannon Street.

After missing Sunday Roast on my first London visit, I knew I had to make it happen on the second visit. Blacklock’s Sunday Roast exceeded expectations and they were super generous with their white chocolate cheesecake dessert. Also, their staff were awesome! Multiple people checked on our table, and it was obvious that they were being genuine and wanted to make sure our table was having a good time.

Great staff who welcomed us and played along beautifully to have fun with our friend on her birthday. We ordered the All-In and were not disappointed! The fact the roasties were excellent with non-stop gravy top ups makes it one of the best places for a solid roast in London.

Truly the best Sunday roast we’ve ever had (and I don’t say that lightly, we are very particular about our roasts). The beef was exceptional and the gravy was out of this world! My children were drinking it from the pot. Crispy AND flavorsome potatoes and the Yorkshire pudding was the perfect size. Atmosphere was lovely and the staff were kind and quick, even going as far as to top up our water for us without asking and filling our empty gravy pots. You will definitely want a reservation, there was not an empty table while we were there for obvious reasons.
