Enjoy Brunch and Sunday Roasts in the heart of London's East End at The Angel Of Bow, an independent pub that prides itself in providing ethically and locally sourced produce.

Angel of Bow is a contemporary gastro pub in the heart of Bow specialising in homemade food made from locally sourced and ethical produce. Brunch service runs on Friday and Saturdays and they host their famous Sunday roasts every Sunday.

The pub offers a full range of brunch options; from full and vegetarian English Breakfast to eggs benedict, eggs royale and eggs florentine (all served on English muffins with hollandaise sauce) and a double sausage patty and duck egg muffin.

A variety of tea and coffee options are on offer to accompany your brunch, as well as white peach bellini, mimosa and bloody mary for those wanting something a bit stronger!

The famous Sunday roasts are served every Sunday between 1pm-8pm. Meat comes from local suppliers and therefore can differ from week to week, but tend to include a selection of: roast sirloin of beef, roast shoulder of lamb,  roast free range chicken breast on the bone, roast belly pork with crackling and roast turkey. A vegan option is always available, such as vegan mushroom wellington. Roasts are served with all the trimmings: homemade yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, and seasonable vegetables with traditionally made gravy.

There is a choice of both indoor, within the dining room, and outdoor in the beer garden, which is perfect for enjoying the sunny weather in.

The Angel of Bow is just a short walk from Devons Road station on the Docklands Light Railway, with easy access from the centre of London.

The review is for the bar only. We went here spontanously after a canal walk. There were no non-alcoholic drinks on the menu, but I got a nonalcoholic cocktail on request. It tasted so good that I got a second one. My friend had some beers and seemed happy too.

Rooms 5 star is actually for the food, to be specific their Sunday Roast. I can see their ethnically Chinese chef did a wonderful job here, I’m not gonna lie, this is my favorite roast dinner so far in the UK, it’s just amazing, I can easily taste how he used some traditionally Chinese cuisine cooking skills and method from the roast, and it’s just made everything to another level. Well done chef! Service has more potential though, I would love to see the guys behind the bar being more proactive such as passing me a menu after I sit down so I don’t have to come over asking for one after a while. Hence 3 stars for the service. Another good thing about this pub is that they have a decent collection of whiskey there. And I had a fun quiz night, which i didn’t expect.
