We visited around 4pm on Thursday 6th March. We was greeted lovely. The chef on the carvery was very friendly and welcoming. Our young server I can't recall his name but he has a 9 yr old brother was polite friendly and had time to have a chat with our grandson. He didn't stop and he did it all with a smile. We felt very welcome and relaxed. Oh and of course the Carvery was yummy.

Booked a table. Was shown to table at 1.40, at 2.05 I asked a kitchen person if anyone was free to take our order, "Did they wear glasses? what did they look like?" No one came, so again we asked a female member of staff who was very polite and pleasant. Even cleared tables next to us when I requested her to. But she seemed to think we wanted to move to that table. Food, yorkshire pud was too hard, gammon was nice. Will be some time before we return. Not the best birthday experience at an eating place! NO comment from manager - interesting that others have a response.
