Booked a time online which was confirmed. Arriving at venue was told there are no places in the restaurant area could we be seated in the pub area. We agreed. Upon going to get our Carvery there was at least 5 available tables in the restaurant area. There was a considerable wait for our drinks from ordering time. The venue was busy when we arrived but within 10-15 minutes very quiet. The new design from the revamp we quite liked. The food was very good, only had the basic carvery but enjoyable.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but this was not really the best Toby carvery I've been to (and we do usually like them). Floor and tables very greasy (lots of people slipping), food bit rough (overcooked/not hot) toilets out of order, some staff definitely on 'go slow'. But some of the girls waiting on were running round doing their very best, bless them, trying as hard as possible to help customers. Without them it would've had to be only 1☆.

Came here on Wednesday night for £6 Carvery. Food was worth the wait and the service was lovely. My waiter Ewan was very helpful with the new menu and did his best to keep up with seating others aswell as looking after us. Was nice to see Chris again too as he is always a good laugh and a credit to this site. We will be back this Sunday with the family.
