We arrived on a very quiet Saturday lunchtime. Initial welcome was good, we didn't wait long to be seated. Drinks orders taken, and off we went to the carvery. No one in the queue, but still had to navigate the ropes, slightly pointless. Good choice of meats and veg on offer. It would have been a better meal, only for the cold plates and luck warm gravy which just made all of our dinners cold instantly. Not great. We got the bill, I mentioned the cold plates and was told the plate warmer was awaiting repair, other options clearly not explored. Service was good, staff friendly and the decor modern and clean. I'd think twice about visiting again based on our experience with the food.

Went here on a Saturday night for a few drinks and food. It was absolutely dead at 6pm and no atmosphere at all. I ordered mac and cheese and it took 25 minutes to arrive. Once it did it was barely warm so i had to go to the bar and ask for a fresh one. This then arrived within less than 5 minutes so not sure why the first one took so long. At least this time it was hot but seemed like it had been microwaved. I then ordered fudge cake and was told it came warm, it came and was freezing cold but i ate it anyway. My sister then went to the bar at 7.45pm to order a baileys hot chocolate to be told rudely that they had already turned the machine off so couldn't warm the milk! Why turn it off so early and also why not just turn it on again? Safe to say i won't be returning. Mediocre food, poor atmosphere and not the best service.

Thanks so much Chris! Absolutely love having this venue local to us and have yet to be disappointed. There is always something for everyone, even our most picky eaters! Even with how busy the festive season is, the staff and food are phenomenal and carry themselves with poise and a real hardy professionalism. Really appreciated Chris' humour, honesty, and all round positive vibe. Thank you so much for having us! Hopefully we'll be back soon 😊 Patience is a real virtue and they have it in spades. Stay positive everyone!
