Expect to wait a little while to be served at table after your order is taken but then all food and drink arrived together, so apparent delay became a positive as it allowed for chatting/together time. Great environment, good menu with good portions on roast dinners. Fair prices with great table service.

My family loves the atmosphere, food and service. It was a rainy evening but we had a cozy and relaxing environment with live music at the restaurant. A wonderful dining experience.

I came for Sunday lunch, the chicken was cooked really nicely and the roast potatoes were lovely. However, that is where it ended. My drink was filled with little black bits and what looked like dirt. The glass was filthy. The waitress was lovely and promptly exchanged the drink. When the food arrived, the veg was limp and unappealing and was left uneaten. The gravy was cold and again went uneaten. The beef was awful, clearly a very cheap cut, and it was difficult to find any meat amongst the gristle and connective tissue. We didn't hang around for a pudding, so I can not comment on that. Unfortunately we won't return. The staff were so lovely and professional and this is why I have given two stars. I probably think it's do with the cost of ingredients and utilities rather than anything to do with any person. Which is a shame. My usual go-to place for a Sunday lunch was the botanist at media city, which has closed, so I thought I would try L1.
