    Came in for tea with my husband and daughter, I had the gammon it was absolutely divine. Evie seated us and was lovely very friendly and accommodating brought our drinks nice and quickly. Bea was our server for the rest of our visit and was friendly helpful and lovely with my daughter. All in all a lovely meal and a great atmosphere

    The staff were more than accommodating to our autistic shenanigans. They put ice cream on our cake to go and got us an entirely new slice so they could put it separately (preventing melting). Then upon getting roasts to go, our box was so full it warranted duct tape. They also provided three Yorkshire puddings and gravy, meaning for roughly £10 this was our haul (utilising rewards offers and Too Good to Go). We also got a mystery prize and stamp towards more money off for using the app! Thank you to all the staff here, none of you get paid enough to deal with our nonsense. Our only note is a small plea to introduce disposable cutlery, as we had to share a teaspoon to eat it.

    Very convenient at Ainley top, good carvery, lots of other choices, cheaper Monday to Friday. It's easy to book a table online. But you can just turn up. There are always plenty of people in, such a good atmosphere. The service from the staff is excellent. The Bar has every drink you could ask for. Plenty of parking and 12 disabled bays next to the pub. Outside eating available. Excellent toilets. Worth a visit if you're passing by on the M62 and need a break!
