4.0a week agoSorry, we don't seem to have had same experience as a lot of people staying at the Fenwick. Not the worst place we have stayed at by any means. In fact, we were generally happy. Apart from: Stand-in male manager- not very personable. Room was right on main road - traffic from about 05:00 was very noisy indeed plus, every time a lorry passed (and there were lots), the radiator rattled like crazy. Room needs a fresh lick of paint / good hoover. Generally, hotel seems to be starting to look a bit tired. Female manager, on duty on morning of our check out was absolutely lovely!! Food was good. Bed was very comfortable. Prices were very fair. Would we stay again. Sorry, but no, I don't think so.

5.0in the last weekWe called in at the Fenwick Arms on the way back from The Lakes when we got caught up in the bank holiday traffic mayhem. We were greeted by the lovely Annyella, we enjoyed an amazing meal, the food was delicious and piping hot. During the meal we decided to see if there was a room available, so that we could just chill and wind down for the rest of the evening. We spoke with Annyella and she sorted everything thing out for us, the room also included breakfast, so all in all if turn out to be a very good decision. We enjoyed a very relaxed evening. The room was very nice, well equipped, warm, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

3.0a week agoA quick one night stop over loved the inn but my constructive feedback Advertised as Steak and seafood only 1 type of steak on menu Fillet which was very well cooked but not my personal favourite. Sunday 5/30 pm meal no Roast Beef left Dog friendly which is excellent but nothing for the Dog charge and no instructions on where to exercise/toilet the dog in room would have been a brilliant touch. One member of staff wasn’t particularly welcoming (we all have bad days) or maybe he was shy/introvert but on arriving and leaving didn’t feel like a positive experience.
