Built in 1874, The Hop Vine was a stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road and nearby Burscough Wharf on the Leeds and Liverpool canal. The stables, which were used for the horses and stage coaches, now houses the pub's own brewery, using primary English hops and brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and sister pub the Legh Arms.

    Had a meal at this pub and could not fault the food or the service. Good food, lovely atmosphere, pleasant ambience, friendly and attentive staff. Photos - scampi, pâté, prawn cocktail & steak & Stilton baguette.

    Really good real pub , friendly staff great range of ales that are brewed on the premises, we didn’t have the food but it looked great and would definitely return if to try it if we were in the area

    Went on a Sunday and it was very busy, good job we had booked a table for 5. We had black pudding, nachos and pork belly, followed by 4 roasts and 1 pie. 3 of us had to force ( we were already full) on of the best crème brûlée ever. We will be back
