The tea service was an interesting experience, and the food was overall good. However, it's all cold bits and you could see the sweating on the chocolate from being held in the fridge, which makes me wonder how truly fresh these are. I think it's a bit pricey for the amount of food, you are probably better off ordering one of the main dishes instead. On the plus side, the restaurant had European outlets in case you need them, which was a nice surprise given that the hotel this restaurant is part of did not offer the same in the rooms.

The afternoon tea was the lightest most refreshing take on the tradition I have come across. Everything was delicious. Whole pot of tea each and tea large scones each, plenty of cream and jam. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. The location is just perfect, easy and stress free . The male staff were welcoming, the female staff were much slower to take notice when we needed things. Extra teaspoons and knives would have been useful when going between savoury and sweet items. I will be returning

Kings Cross locality was heaving partly due to travel disruption. I wanted somewhere calm and quiet after a long day on my feet at conference. The upstairs Rails bar and restaurant is a quiet haven right next to the departures hall!
