Carluccio’s near Heathrow was a fantastic find, especially in an area that doesn’t offer many decent dining options. We arrived just as the kitchen was about to close, but the staff welcomed us warmly without hesitation. What really stood out was that there were no restrictions on the menu—even at closing time—which is something I truly appreciated. The service was excellent: friendly, accommodating, and genuinely thoughtful.

My reservations about ordering steak from a hotel restaurant such as this appears well founded. Unseasoned piece of meat that doesn’t even have salt and pepper on it is indicative of low quality chefs in the kitchen. Ordered medium rare and it came out like it was boiled and seared for colour, and the server didn’t come by until the meal was done. I simply can’t recommend ever ordering the ribeye (or any other piece of meat) and paying such a premium for sub par food. Ridiculous automatic 12% surcharge/tip on the bill. It’s only out of desperation because the local pub is closed on Sundays.
