Great father's day meal at the Exchequer. The staff were extremely busy but friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Food was pre-ordered for this special menu and that made it really smooth and the food itself was delicious!

A wonderful night - the food was clearly made from fresh ingredients and was cooked perfectly. Attentive service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The fish and chips had a delicious tartare sauce with fresh minted peas, which we would recommend. We come here often for a reason! Thank you :)

Nice little quiet pub . Food is good and the service and staff were excellent. Just a little detour of walking along the canal . Around here is lists of history including the Dragons teeth , Anti tank cylinders and Pill boxes , as part of the defence against a possible invasion in 1940. The canal itself along with the anti tank defences , would have been an obstacle, to slow down any advance.
