Beautiful. We dined in their riverside pods. These were beautiful and the waitresses were friendly, polite and attentive. The good was delicious with lots of flavour. We had cocktails which were also made perfectly. All set next to a stream. It was beautiful inside and out. Would recommend!!

Excellent Place, we booked for breakfast but a visit for a midweek meal, or Sunday lunch will soon be on the cards. I had full English and my wife had scrambled eggs on toast. The best coffee we have had for ages. Great Service and set by a small brook. Lovely outside area too.

We visited this pub for a Sunday roast with a group of seven, but unfortunately the experience left a lot to be desired. From the outset, the service was underwhelming. The staff member who served us didn’t make us feel particularly welcome — there was no smile or warmth, which set the tone. One person in our group had a voucher for a free bottle of prosecco, which was taken care of, but oddly, the rest of us weren’t asked for our drinks orders at all, which felt like a strange oversight. The roast beef dinner was priced at £29.75 which we felt was quite steep given the portion size. The plate itself had just a single small carrot and parsnip, and the roast potatoes were shared between the table, along with a bowl of peas and leafy greens. While we didn’t mind the sharing approach, the quantity wasn’t particularly generous. The gravy was also a let-down — watery and lacking in depth. When it came to paying the bill, we felt rushed and weren’t really given time to work out who owed what. We also noticed two charges for ‘filtered water’ totalling £7.20, even though we’d only asked for still water for the table. It’s possible this was a misunderstanding, but it wasn’t something we expected to be charged for. A 12.5% service charge was also added automatically so beware. Desserts were delicious though so that was a plus. All in all, the food was okay but didn’t live up to the price tag, and the service left us feeling a bit unwelcome. We were hoping for a more enjoyable and relaxed Sunday lunch.
