Malmaison Edinburgh City offers a stylish and comfortable stay right in the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious with incredibly comfortable beds—ideal for unwinding after a day out. The staff are friendly and welcoming, adding a warm touch to the overall experience. There are a few small details that could elevate the stay, such as having complimentary water readily available in the rooms rather than having to request it. The shower also lacked a bit in power and temperature, which was a slight letdown considering the otherwise high standard. On the plus side, the location is absolutely perfect—within walking distance to so much of what Edinburgh has to offer. Breakfast is another highlight, with a great variety and delicious, freshly made pastries that are worth getting up for. A solid choice for a city break with room for a few refinements.

The hotel has nice rooms and I really like the style they've gone for definitely makes them stand out. I liked the scheme personally, one thing I didn't like was the lack of basic security on their Wi-Fi network no password or registration page you connect and your have Internet access. It's convenient but this concerns me there's a concept of war driving they should be aware of. I never recommend connecting to public WiFi but there are rooms where you can't get a connection so you have to I would suggest using a VPN to secure your connection. Out of curiosity I tested to see if I could connect to adult sites and it worked, with this being a hotel with young children this hotel needs to do better preventing children from connecting or viewing such content when connecting to their Wi-Fi network. On a positive note the connection was good.

I stayed here for a week. The hotel was nicely furnished, very modern looking. The lighting was darker than I was used to but aside from the that no complaints. Plenty of security doors each floor required you to use your key to gain access. Laundry was quick and easy they returned the close when they said they would. Food in the restaurants below was great service was exceptional absolutely no complaints. The location for a tourist is perfect close restaurants for eating, but be sure to make reservations. There's a hop on, hop off bus tour half a block in front of the hotel. The park which I had a view of was amazing if you're in the area stay here it was a wonderful motel.
