Extremely friendly service but unbelievably busy on a Sunday. We pre booked which was fortunate. The carvery queue was long with many items running out. Service was great, amazing team, so friendly and swift in ordering and bringing out drinks. Managers were very courteous and efficient. I think the kitchen needs more support to help run the delivery orders as well as the in restaurant diners. The team were swamped but despite that they were always helpful and responsive. Best roast potatoes at any Toby's we've had.

We recently dined here on a recent Friday night when a promotion was running. Although the staff were all polite and helpful, there was not enough of them. There was no runner behind the carvery to replace the joints of meat as they ran down, so the lad carving was constantly not there, and some of the joints like the gammon and pork were undercooked and there was no Turkey at all when we visited. The queue for the carvery was very long and didn't move very quickly as there was no runner, and the queue to be seated was out of the door because there simply was not enough staff to cope with the demand. Poor show from the management which could lead to an environmental health disaster. All the staff were polite and helpful to be fair, but just not enough of them. When visited before when prices were normal, all was well. Wouldn't return when the offers are on though, just not worth risking food poisoning.

Girl who booked us in was very pleasant, but all the other staff were either rude, dismissive, or unhelpful. The carver was dishonest and rude.serving up tiny portions of dried husks of meat. The vegetables were somehow dry and cold. The gravy was tasty but gelatinous. Avoid at quiet times they shouldn't do the carvery at off peak times.
