5.0a month agoOne of the nicest places to stay along the beach, we came for an overnight birthday getaway, met with a lovely girl on reception, our room was ready straight away which is always a bonus! We strolled along the beach and took in the gorgeous views, we came back for a beer in the bar which was lovely and relaxing as it wasn't that busy, food was great also. The only one fault I would give is the service was a bit slow & we would have to go the bar rather than table service but I would not take this away from our stay. The next morning we had breakfast and as we were handed our food the electricity and power went due to the storm. The staff were so helpful even though they were extremely stressed, they even placed little candles on our table which made our brekkie a very romantic one! Would highly recommend this hotel for a lovely get away, can't wait to come in the summer & experience the BBQ which the manager said is brilliant.

2.0a week agoWhen you want a room with a view but your room becomes the view. I have to say I don't normally give bad reviews but I felt very let down by this place. The hotel was a really nice place but The staff on arrival weren't particularly overly friendly. I didn't get any information about food at the bar, breakfast times, or information about WiFi codes. The keys didn't even come with a pouch where it would usually have the room number and WiFi etc. Just two blank cards slid across the counter. On arrival into the room it was very spacious and clean. The first thing I noticed was the ground level doors that looked out at a public court yard/drinking area. The window and doors had no blinds, just black out curtains. We assumed the glass on the doors were one sided (so people can't see in) As we arrived at 3pm on a sunny day we didn't want to pull over blackout curtains just to lay on our bed and watch TV in private. My partner and I are both professional photographers so we left the blinds open the next morning and walked directly out to the outside seating area from our room to take some pictures. On returning to the room we noticed that the glass wasn't one sided which meant everyone who stood in the busy seating area could see directly into our room and our beds. A bit strange. Not only this but then we noticed a CCTV camera facing in the same direction of our room. Videos attached. On leaving the hotel the lady at the desk showed no interest in us, didn't even ask us how our stay was. She said " are you checking out ? All I need is your keys". That was the only exchange we had. It's small things like this that turn me off places. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, the location is really great and the other facilities are really nice. However, at the moment I couldn't recommend it based on our experience this time. Regards.

1.0a month agoWe stayed in 7 different accommodations over 7 nights, and while I hesitate to even mention this place in the same sentence as the others—each of the other 6 being absolutely excellent—this one was beyond awful. If zero stars were an option, that would have been our rating. The single star we were forced to give is solely for the staff, who were friendly and quick to offer us a different room. They were kind and attentive, and none of the blame for the dreadful state of the hotel falls on them. Unfortunately, even they couldn’t save what was an absolutely awful experience. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. Old and worn-out is one thing, but dirty and foul-smelling is something else entirely—and completely unacceptable. From the moment we entered the hallway, we were hit by a terrible odor. It was obvious that the management was aware of the problem, as they had tried (and failed) to cover it up with air freshener, making the smell even more unbearable. Our first room smelled just as bad, and airing it out didn’t help. Everything was dusty, stains in the carpet and the bathroom was filthy: there were stains on the floor, buildup on the fixtures, toothpaste splatters, hair on the sink and in the bathtub, and grime everywhere. It was simply disgusting. The staff was kind enough to offer us a new room, but even there, the smell persisted, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The smell was so unpleasant that we had to leave the balcony door open all night—in the middle of January, despite the cold—just to make it bearable. We didn’t try the breakfast, so we can’t comment on it, but frankly, after such an experience, we doubt anyone could eat a bite here. We spent just one night at this hotel and can’t understand where the good reviews are coming from. Perhaps they stayed in a different place entirely, because this was nothing short of a nightmare. In all our travels, we have never stayed in a place this bad. Even budget hostels charging 20 euros per night were far cleaner and more comfortable. Charging such high prices for such poor quality is outrageous and completely unjustified. We were left deeply horrified and would strongly advise others to stay away from this hotel!!
