Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel du Vin, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the ambiance was warm and inviting, perfectly combining luxury with a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the luxurious toiletries, was outstanding. The dining experience was equally exceptional, with the restaurant offering a delightful selection of dishes, each bursting with flavor and presented with elegance. A special mention must go to Abraham, whose exceptional service truly made our stay unforgettable. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care stood out. Abraham went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was seamless, offering helpful recommendations and always greeting us with a smile. He is a true asset to the Hotel du Vin team, and his dedication to providing excellent service did not go unnoticed. Overall, Hotel du Vin is a gem. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and luxurious stay. A huge thank you to Abraham and the rest of the team for making our experience so special—we will certainly be returning!

    Always great to eat in the restaurant. The menu is small but well thought out. The serving team are lovely, especially Abraham. Every time we are in Cambridge we come here to enjoy a lovely evening. Thank you!

    From the moment I stepped in I was greeted with a warm welcome and the receptionist made sure we started off our stay with beautiful cocktails. We ordered The most delicious Crouque Monsieur I've ever tasted in my life. Service in the bar and restaurant was superb. So friendly. Breakfast was excellent and lovely surroundings. Couldn't fault our short stay.Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you.
