1.04 weeks agoOther than the meat, would not say its home of the carvary at all. Yorkshire pudding taste stale and eggy. Mash worse than school dinners in the the 1980s Veggies, no taste at all over boiled mush, and the roast potatoes tasted like there days old, mac and cheese was dry. Even the refillibal drinks were flat, mint sauce watered down with something, not sure what but was very chemical tasting. So bad we left about 70% on the plate. Would not recommend.

1.0a week agoI finished work today and really really fancied a carvery, I knew toby would take care of this..there was just myself eating, the staff on the door wanted to seat me on a really small table with very little room between myself and other customers, when I politely asked if I could sit somewhere else the female staff replied "oh just sit where you want then!" So I did.. Eventually the same staff came over to me to take my order, I ordered a drink and said I'd like the carvery..to which I was informed it was Sunday prices..when I asked why, I was told it is bank Holiday, good Friday is not a public holiday in the UK..I wasn't prepared to pay for a Sunday carvery on a Friday so I left, on the way out i asked a different staff member why the price increase, all he could tell me was because it's a bank holiday and I should of been told as I come in, I wasn't told..I suggested putting a sign up to tell customers as they come in, I was told they were not allowed to put signs up, I guess it's because once people have been seated very few are going to object to the price increase. Very disappointed..
